The Lab hosted a small, invitation-only ribbon-cutting, or rather garland-cutting, ceremony on Tuesday, Dec. 3, with visiting DOE officials to celebrate the near completion of the new Biological and Environmental Program Integration Center (BioEPIC). Among the participants were Dorothy Koch, associate director of the Biological and Environmental Research (BER) program at DOE’s Office of Science, and Sheila Feddis, director of NNSA’s Office of Infrastructure & Modernization. The more formal opening is planned for early 2025 when the building is ready to be occupied.
