Centennial Bridge, the overpass where Centennial Drive crosses over the Lab’s hill site at Lawrence Road, is no more. The existing bridge was constructed in 1965 along a hillside historically known to have landslides. The bridge was deteriorating and during a strong seismic event, the overpass could have been at risk of structural failure. The new bridge opened last month.
